Doctor Wallace says:
Yoko is a very lovely and gracious woman, as long as you are not on the other side of the tennis court from her. If you are, then her ‘killer instinct’ comes out, and she becomes a fierce competitor.
Yoko came to me very well-informed about LASIK, having been to several other laser centers first. She was actually referred to me by the eye care professional that for years helped her with her contact lenses. In a nutshell, she wanted ‘out’ of contacts.
Her LASIK was performed in October, ’01. Being a very high myope, it is slightly more common to need (or benefit from) enhancement surgery, and we did perform this for her in late January ’02. She now maintains excellent unaided vision.
Our goal in treating Yoko was to obtain complete distance correction for both eyes. In my experience, this helps create the most comfortable and balanced vision, especially at night. Since she often plays tennis at night, this was important for her. She notes absolutely no increase in any glare, halo, blur, or night vision problems since her surgery, which makes her very pleased with her results.
