Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Now I can see when I work out (and I do tae-bo, pilates, and aerobics), when I put my make-up on, and in my work at the office. This is such a pleasure!
You and your entire staff made the whole experience a treat. I felt comfortable and in very good hands all the way from my initial visit to the day after surgery.
Now I know what Dr. Dickey [my referring optometrist] meant when he said that you were the best!
I wholeheartedly agree.
Sincerely,
Maureen S.
Doctor Wallace says:
Often, in people who are of presbyopic age (i.e. need a different prescription for reading than for distance, or use bifocals, or take their distance glasses off to read), LASIK can be a challenge. We do not want to take away too much function at near in order to achieve good clarity at distance.
In Maureen’s case, we aimed for a slight undercorrection, so that she would have good function at an ‘intermediate’ range from about 2 feet to 8 feet. This enables her to work in her office, counsel patients across a desk, watch TV, etc. without glasses. She does not mind wearing a little magnification for reading.
