Because I’m from New-Caledonia, a little French island located between Australia and New Zealand. While we have many beautiful things here, we do not have a LASIK specialist. I contacted you as I was impressed by your website and because you took the time to personally respond to my emails.
I have come to you with a lot of hope and I must say that I wasn’t disappointed. You and your team have demonstrated a high level of professionalism, but not only that. You have also been of great kindness, embellished with a touch of humor and friendliness which made me feel like home. A climate of mutual trust was then established, erasing any apprehension.
The conclusion? I see now perfectly clear in both eyes. No more need glasses to work, reading or driving, and I can dive again and admire the beauty of our beautiful lagoon and much more. It’s freedom that you have given to me !

Ghislain travelled to us for treatment from his home in New Caledonia, a part of French Melanesia in the South Pacific. We were very pleased and honored to be selected by him for care from among many excellent LASIK specialists all over the world.
We saw Ghislain in early October ’07, and during his consultation discovered some interesting findings. The prescription he needed for optimal correction was much greater in the left eye than in the right. Additionally, the left cornea was borderline thin centrally, and his corneal topography (contour map) showed slight asymmetry of curvature. For this reason we advised LASIK for the right eye and AST (advanced surface treatment, the modern version of PRK). Even though he had planned only a several-day visit, and even though healing after AST is somewhat slower, this is the better method in these conditions. His treatment went very well (as we sould expect, of course!), and he returned home 5 days after treatment.
He has kept in touch by email, and reports that both eyes now enjoy extremely sharp clarity. He offered to write a letter about his experience in French (his native language, of course) so we postthat that above (along with his English translation). He and his wife, Valerie (shown in photo above) were very appreciative for all the care extended on his behalf.
