I thought long and hard about having my eyesight corrected before I actually did anything about it. I heard a lot of very excited testimonials from friends and coworkers so when I made my decision to do this I met with more than one ophthalmologist. Dr. Wallace was the only one to personally review my eyes and spend the time with me to explain my options and the procedures (for more than a 3 minute consultation). He thoughtfully answered my questions with patience and a smile. He saw me as an individual with an individual case, not a case number.
The personal touch makes all the difference when you are considering something as crucial as your eyesight. But it wasn’t just his bedside manners that made my decision easy. It was his experience that inspired me to meet him in the first place.
The day of the surgery Dr. Wallace was very calming, helping me get through the nervous stage leading up to the surgery. He clearly explained each step of the process just before the surgery and broke each part of the procedure down to the minutes and seconds it would take. This greatly helped me during the surgery. Later that afternoon he called to check on my progress and to make sure I didn’t have any new questions.
The next day, during the follow-up appointment with both Dr. Wallace and my optometrist, I was told I had 20/20 vision with no scarring. A week later I was diagnosed with 20/15. I am both relieved and amazed every morning when I open my eyes and every night when I don’t have to take out my contacts or put on my glasses to read or watch TV.
I highly recommend Dr. Wallace to all my friends and co-workers who ask and I’m happy to talk to anyone thinking of having this procedure.
Dr. Wallace, thank you for this wonderful gift! Most sincerely,
