I am certainly enjoying my new vision. It is a marvelous experience to see the things that before I could not see with clarity, for example the flowers, the stained glass windows at church, and everything in between. I was able to see every person in a group, where before I could only see the people in the front.
Thank you for having solved one of the greatest problems that I have had for so many years. As a result of the procedure my personal, social and family life have benefited.
In my personal life the glasses that I used did not permit me to go abut my daily activities comfortably. For example, in the kitchen, steam fogged up my lenses; and in the summer my glasses would slide down my face.
Now I can also go to social functions without glasses of any type. This is such a pleasure!
Thank you to you and your staff. Sincerely,
Angela H.
Doctor Wallace says:
Angela was quite farsighted before her LASIK. Treatment for farsightedness by laser was approved by the FDA in August of 2000. I, however, have experience with this treatment option that dates back to 1996.
Starting in 1996, I participated in the FDA phase III clinical trials evaluating the Visx laser treatment for farsightedness, and farsightedness with astigmatism. I am pleased to say that our results were part of the reason that, in August of 2000, the FDA Advisory Panel on Refractive Surgery formally recommended approval for these extended treatment parameters to the FDA board, and final approval came shortly thereafter.
