I’m a hospital pharmacist, and clear vision is absolutely critical to my work. I was about a -4.00 in both eyes before my LASIK. A very close friend of mine is an optometrist who referred me to Dr. Wallace. When I went in for my consultation, I received a very meticulous, careful, and thorough exam. Dr. Wallace answered all my questions in a way that made me feel both informed and comfortable.
The procedure itself was a breeze. I now see perfectly in both eyes, both for close up and far away. This LASIK is a very good thing! From the simple things (seeing the alarm clock in the morning, and being able to drive comfortably at night) to the more demanding (like reading those tiny labels on prescription medication bottles from across the room!) I personally could not be happier.
I will gladly offer to speak with other people contemplating this type of care, and cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wallace and his team.
Doctor Wallace says:
David is a very intense, hard-working individual who just wanted to be rid of dependence on glasses and contacts. The driving issues in his case were lifestyle and convenience (rather than allergies, contact lens intolerance, infections, or the like). We find that most people have LASIK do so for the same reasons.
David is also illustrative of another important part of laser vision correction education and counseling. By offering to talk to others interested in this care, David and others like him (who have had LASIK) are a valuable resource for those contemplating similar care. I and my staff can provide certain information, but often it is extremely helpful to talk to other patients. We gladly will offer to put you in touch with one or several of our patients if you so choose.
