Dr. Wallace, thank you for making these old eyes young! Mere words can never convey my gratitude. You are an angel, and as I stated previously, “I love you more than my hat!”
Also, I adore my new Teddy Bear. I’ve named him after you. He is a wonderful reminder of this unforgettable experience.
Love,
Bunny
Doctor Wallace says:
Bunny had cataract surgery with lens implantation in her right eye, along with incision-type surgery to correct her astigmatism (we call this astigmatic keratotomy). In certain individuals, this type of care may be preferable to LASIK, especially in the case of persons above 65 years of age who have early cataract changes already.
Cataract surgery with astigmatic keratotomy is not always as precise as LASIK. And the attendant risks are slightly greater as the surgery is done inside the eye. But properly done, it affords excellent visual results, and Bunny is living proof thereof!
Bunny has returned to rollerblading on the strand and ballroom dancing in the evenings. She is a delightful bundle of energy and I am glad that her eyesight is now no longer slowing her down in the least.
