I decided to have LASIK for two reasons: ;1) because of my lifestyle and 2) because I hated feeling helpless. When I’m riding my motorcycle or racing my car on the racetrack, a lot of dirt and debris get in my eyes, and I’m constantly rubbing them. My contacts would roll to the top of my eye and I could barely see! I also hated feeling helpless in my own home. You’re there to protect your family, but if you wake in the middle of the night and can’t see anything, you’re just helpless. My eyes would constantly be burning and itching with contacts. And they take a lot of maintenance – taking them out every night, lugging cases and solution and drops everywhere– a huge inconvenience.
So I started researching LASIK and found LA Sight. They had the latest technology and a very affordable price. Those two things alone got me in the door. But once I met Dr. Wallace– the amount of time he spent with me, taking time to explain everything – choosing LA Sight for LASIK was a no-brainer.
I always told myself if I ever had LASIK I’d probably cry! It’s funny, but seriously, if your vision is as bad as mine was, I can’t think of anything more life-changing than LASIK, except maybe having a child! The first week or so, I’d wake in the morning, thinking the since I could see I’d left my contacts in overnight. Then joy would hit me as I remembered, “I don’t have contacts anymore!” My eyes came out above & beyond my expectations – better than 20/20! I’m telling everyone that I know to have LASIK at LA Sight!
